I stumbled across Bee’s Knees at the Garage multiple times during my leisure trips to Botanic Gardens. Nestled at a scenic crosspath of roads, this bustling food establishment has much to offer with its peppy menu.

Bee’s Knees at the Garage offers two menus: Day and Night. Naturally, the day menu consists of lighter options such as brunch and crossaints. In contrast, the night menu consists of a hearty array. While I have tried both menus, I will be blogging mainly about the day menu which I made sure to take pictures of!

For my trip here, I ordered the Laksa Tiger Prawn Pasta ($21) and Bees Knees Big Breakfast ($27) for mains. In addition, I ordered Spicy Duck Loaded Fries ($17) and a Watermelon Fruity Float ($8) for my side and beverage respectively. Last but not least, I had a portion of the Fluffernutter in a Jar ($9).

The Laksa Tiger Prawn Pasta is a dry pasta option that was absolutely delicious. My friend and I devour it as we really enjoy the smokiness of the tiger prawns and the laksa paste the pasta was prepared with. Furthermore, the laksa paste was on point and tasted exactly like traditional laksa.

Next up will be the Bees Knees Big Breakfast. When they say ‘big’, it really does reflect in portion! Every component of the dish synergized really well to provide a really pleasant brunch affair. I will also give credit for the effort put behind each component behind this hearty dish. A minor and only critic for this dish is the slight greasiness for the miso mushrooms. Here, the fizzy Watermelon Fruity Float really comes in handy!

For the night menu, I ordered The Platter for 2 Pax ($24), 12″ Smoked Chicken Mayo Pizza ($29) and a Peach Fruity Float ($8).

The Platter is one of the more memorable dishes as I really enjoyed the crispy tater tots and boxing chicken. Furthermore, the portion sizes are generous such that we could barely finish the pizza by the time it came! You might even be able to share this three way.

Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here with the noteworthy food. While the service can be slightly slow at night near closing hours, it is really pleasant overall and the staff are really warm and welcoming.

My overall ratings are:
Price point: 3/5. Can be a little pricey for some options.
Food: 5/5.
Service: 4/5
