Need an impromptu baking idea for the festives or holidays? Look no further, for these Red Velvet Brownies are the perfect delicious solution to your problem. Not only are these Red Velvet Brownies quick to put together, they are moist with a good mixture of tart and sweet.
These Red Velvet Brownies are easy to come together. Additionally, they really taste like red velvet thanks to the addition of cocoa powder, vanilla, and white vinegar. The combination of these three ingredients produces the distinct red velvet taste.
Nonetheless, let’s not forget about appearance. For the distinctive red colouration, I used food colouring to achieve so. This can be easily adjusted depending on preference.
Then, I dolloped a generous amount of cream cheese frosting to go. As the Red Velvet Brownies are sweet on their own, I added less sugar for this frosting. Hence, the recipe produces a spreadable but not pipe-able consistency (for your reference!).

This looks so good I’m going to try it. May I know what’s the white vinegar for since this recipe doesn’t use bicarb soda?
Hi Jayclyn, thanks for dropping by my blog and hope you will like these brownies as much as I do! The white vinegar provides the distinctive red velvet flavour combination still by balancing with the cocoa powder and vanilla, though it does not react with any baking soda here 🙂 Hope that helps and please do let me know if you require further info!
