Making a Cheese Fondue doesn’t have to be a stressful experience, so meet my Easy Cheese Fondue recipe! Not only is this amazingly melty and luxuriously smooth, it’s also alcohol free with most straightforward of ingredients. My Easy Cheese Fondue also comes with a small kick with bold flavours that will keep everyone dipping for more!

For those really familiar with the traditional Swiss-style fondue, it uses white wine and Gruyere. My version skips the alcohol and goes for full-on comfort. Here’s why you will most definitely love this version of Easy Cheese Fondue:

  • Blend of cheeses: Cream cheese adds body and luscious texture, while pepper jack adds the right amount of spice. Furthermore, colby jack balances it all out with it’s mild, creamy melt and a pop of yellow!
  • Comes together in less than 20 minutes, no fondue pot needed. This requires just some milk (or even cream) and for everything to melt together! I’ve served this cooled and it still forms an amazing dip. However, if you would like to retain maximum cheese stretch just like how you first get it off the pot, it would be great to keep it lukewarm with a fondue pot.
  • The best centrepiece. This Easy Cheese Fondue makes an lunch or dinner centrepiece, or even a date night meal that is fun and interactive. I also like to swtch it up with the various foods for dipping, such as roasted vegetables and honey butter toast, depending on occasion!

I am going to let you watch the video to let you see how stretchy they are! By the way, all cheeses I use here originate from the USA. Not only are they of premium quality, they are also well crafted and some of them are even award winning.

Without further ado, the recipe.

Easy Cheese Fondue
by Javier Tan July-04-2025

This luxuriously smooth, nicely melty Easy Cheese Fondue recipe requires just basic ingredients, is alcohol free and takes at most 20 mins!

Ingredients

  • About 1/2 Clove Garlic
  • 1/2 Cup + 2 Tbsp or 150ml Milk
  • 1/2 Cup or 120g Cream Cheese, Softened
  • Approx 3/4 Cup or 150g Pepper Jack, Shredded / Chopped
  • Approx 3/4 Cup or 150g of Colby Jack, Shredded / Chopped
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Press the garlic against the cool saucepan for a garlic flavour infusion.
  2. Then, place in the milk into the saucepan and heat up at medium low heat.
  3. 2 minutes in, add in the cream cheese and stir or whisk until fully melted.
  4. Next, add in the pepper jack and similarly, stir or whisk until fully melted. Do the same for the final cheese, the Colby Jack.
  5. Once nicely melty with a nice cheese stretch, add salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Transfer to a fondue if you would like to keep warm (for that maximum cheese stretch). Otherwise, this can also be served cool!
  7. Enjoy! I like to prepare various roasted vegetables and other food options to dip in.
