The aroma of jasmine tea is something special, delicate, floral and instantly comforting. When paired with buttery, crisp cookies, it creates a treat that’s both elegant and timeless. These Jasmine Green Tea Butter Cookies are truly perfect for gifting during festive celebrations, enjoying with your favourite cup of tea, or simply baking as a calming weekend activity!

Why Jasmine Green Tea
While matcha has gained popularity worldwide, Jasmine green tea carries a rich cultural connection, particularly for Chinese tea traditions. Its floral notes add subtle sweetness and depth to cookies, making it deal for those who want something refined yet festive.
These cookies aren’t justa bout flavour too! They create a moment of indulgence. I especially like that they’re light, crisp and visually appealing. I love piping them into beautiful florals, making them as pleasing ot the eyes as they are to the palate.
Storage and Preparation
The best part is how easy they are to make and produce, and they keep so well too for at least 2 weeks, sometimes up to 3 or 4 depending on humidity. Hence, I always recommend for these to be stored with a bag of desiccant!
Tips for the Perfect Jasmine Green Tea Butter Cookie
- Butter temperature matters, ensure it’s softened but not melting
- Do use crushed tea leaves, such as those from bags. This will help release aroma while avoiding large chunks that can make the cookie uneven
- Shape wise, don’t worry about perfection, rustic charm works too!
