This Chinese herbal chicken soup is food for the soul (at least for me)! I love the herbal undertones and the essence of the chicken as it slow boils. In this recipe, I made sure to use the medicinal herbs good for the health and the body. Apologies that a cooking recipe can be a little out of place, but I am glad to continue sharing for those who would like to know more too!

For my Herbal Chicken Soup, I used these ingredients:
(1) Solomon’s seal, top
(2) Chinese angelica root, top left.
(3) Codonopsis Root, center.
(4) Chuanxiong Rhizome,  top right.
(5) Chinese Yam, bottom left.
(6) Chinese Wolfberries, bottom right.

While I will not be elaborating further on the medicinal properties, they are in general good for boosting circulation and immunity. I strongly recommend searching it up but feel free to ask me if you do not know how!

On top of which, these herbs are more easily attainable. Also, you can add red dates and ginseng which are optional. Furthermore, if you find the taste too bland, you can add 1-2 bottles of chicken essence. Doing so will boost the richness of the Herbal Chicken Soup.

Without further ado, the recipe!
